Building the Legacy Sale has become Canadian Angus Foundation’s main fundraiser focus and has been very successful in generating resources to further our mission.
The Canadian Angus Foundation functions to preserve and expand the Angus breed for future generations through education, youth development, scientific and market research, and historical preservation and restoration. The Canadian Angus Foundation was incorporated in 1993 and is the charitable arm of the Canadian Angus Association.
The vision of the Building the Legacy concept is to allow the Foundation to build monetary resources. The Foundation uses its funds to provide opportunities for our youth, young breeders and membership to grow in the areas of leadership, marketing, networking, animal husbandry, genetic improvement and to learn about developing tools to enhance Angus production. The vision also includes the importance of preserving Angus history. By fostering these areas we can ensure our Angus history is not lost and will keep Angus as the breed of choice for the commercial beef sector and end users for years to come.
Our vision is being realized and because of generous donors we can support initiatives, scholarships, travel bursaries and learning opportunities. Through benevolent giving of donated livestock, semen, embryos, items and experiences, and the purchasing of the auction offerings, we at the Foundation have been able to put together a great suite of opportunities for our Angus membership.

Red Angus - Dave & Rhonda Bablitz
This is your opportunity to
acquire some of the last semen ever to be available on the great Six Mile

most impressive red Angus bulls to come along in a while. Coming from the foundation
Selma Cow Family, his dam averaged an impressive 111 Weaning Index on her
natural calves. Signature’s stunning presence and exceptional phenotype made
him a crowd favorite as he was Junior Champion at Agribition and Denver.

bull packed with maternal strength that will add value to both sons and
daughters. His dam EA Rose needs little introduction as she is nearly
impossible to fault. Bank Note daughters are carrying on his maternal lineage
with perfect udders, volume, capacity and complete made.
Bank
Note is an impressively sound individual that will add extra muscle, stoutness
and rib capacity in a very attractive package.

Impressive, Donated by MJT Cattle
Company, The Trefiak Family and South View Ranch, The Kaufmann Family
MJT Impressive 813F, the 2018
Canadian Angus Gold Show Bull Calf of the year, brings together two exceptionally
strong animals. MJT Impressive is sired by the 2016 Canadian Angus Show Bull of
the Year, MAF First Impression 4420. Used in many flushes, his progeny have
been showing exceptionally moderate birth weights and then growing very efficiently
and turning heads around the globe. Here at home we couldn’t be happier with
his daughters in production as they are the type to build a cow herd. MJT
Impressive’s dam, DMM Blackcap Essence 7Y, was the 2013 Canadian Angus Show
Female of the Year. 7Y has proven herself to be a big time producer with the
unique ability to pass along extra hip dimension and muscle shape that is
complimentary to many breeding lines without sacrificing udder quality and
femininity.
